If you need to jumpstart your creativity, try turning to Instagram, Pinterest or some of your favorite blogs. We’ve collected some timely Instagram posts from a few of our favorite influencers to get you started.

Be active
@angelarosehome » “THIS right here is my calm in the chaos. Something I can control, something I can DO. Projects have always been my therapy in my challenging times, and they are pulling through for me again today.”
@roomfortuesday » “Staying home isn’t looking so bad. My plan during social distancing? Make lots of food and test out new recipes in the kitchen … I’m also going to use this as an opportunity to tackle some projects, get things done around the house, and plan exciting new things. Hoping we can all make the most of time at home with family!”
@thejungalow » “We’re all spending more time than ever in our homes so why not switch things up a lil? If you’re looking for an easy way to refresh your bedroom, try changing out your bedding! If you currently have neutral colored bedding, try a brighter color … Or if you have bedding with a bold pattern, go for something solid. Pull some accent pillows from other parts of the house that complement the new look, add a few planties and a candle on your nightstand and voila...staycation mode”
@restoring_home » “Yesterday my boys both became fascinated with learning to knit, so we spent some time doing that today. I feel like they are little diyers in the making and I love it.”
@withinthegrove » “Anytime I feel happy, stressed, anxious, bored. . .you get the point. . . I paint! … I know there are a lot of feelings and emotions happening right now which is why I encourage you to take out a paintbrush this week! With social distancing, paint may not be possible for you. But it is! Remember all those times I shared paint getting delivered to my front door without ever leaving my home? Well, my friends, this is the perfect time to take advantage of those services. The two I have tried and loved are @clarepaint and @behrpaint Express. I never thought we would be using services like this for what we're currently going through. But I have to say, it helps to bring a little bit sunshine.”
@francois_et_moi » “I’m starting to see the silver lining is truly having to slow down + getting to spend more time as a family. We’re safe, and we’re in our homes. We’ll ride this out TOGETHER—as a family and as an online community. We recently carved out this reading corner with a big, cozy comfy chair, Gabriola from @article, and it ended up being great timing for how much we’re at home. Also if you’re looking for a small way to help in your community, call your elderly neighbor to chat and see if they need anything—they may not know how to order groceries online/request delivery!”
@ted_the_cockapoo_boy » “Day 2 of kitchen renovations and I've been promoted to a labourer.”
Focus on what matters
@arrowsandbow » “We’ve been using this time to live with lots of intentionality. I’m so thankful for all of you that come to my page daily + encourage our family, it means more than you know. A kind word really does go a long way. I also wanted to note that this room makes me so happy! light always brings me joy!”
@jojotastic » “Today is my birthday & I’m choosing love over fear, gratitude over panic, comfort over the unknown. This world is not the one I thought we’d live in for my 35th circle around the sun... not at all. … It’s ok to tune out every once in a while (whether or not it’s your birthday).”
Find some peace
@theinspiredroom » “As a homebody I love the ‘staying home’ part of this situation, of course, but I don’t love the very unsettling circumstances outside our door. … But even through all the uncertainty, I still want to be a gatekeeper of our home. More than ever, I want our home to be a place where we experience peace, joy, faith, beauty, comfort and wellness. I choose to focus on the privilege of doing what I can to make our home our sanctuary. This is an opportunity to create a safe shelter in every sense of the word. I am honored to continue to inspire you to do the same.”
@thejoshuatreehouse » “The weather today is heavy, and we’re feeling it. There’s so much going on at the moment for everyone, so it’s particularly important to get outside and take a deep breath. Here’s a beautiful meditation from @luminous_palm that’s perfect for these times:
“‘Find some quiet time today or tonight to close your eyes and place a hand on your heart and breathe in long slow breaths. Invite in the fear. Imagine it sitting down in front of you. Thank the fear for trying to keep you safe. Then tell the fear “at this moment I AM safe, and I am grounding into this moment.” Then invite in love. Give it a color. Breathe in the color of love and breathe out any fear or tension you feel in your body. Repeat to yourself “at this moment I am safe and I am grounding into this moment.” See if you can continue to breathe in and expand the love color until it fills your whole body. See if you can make it fill up the room. Keep expanding it to become as large as your house. Your block. Your city. The country. And if you can keep expanding this light and love until you visualize it spreading across the world.’”
