During the bustle and excitement of the holiday season, brisk winter days have a magical feeling. Fast forward to February, and the lustrous glow of holiday decor and powdery snow is replaced with barren landscapes, dirty slush and bitter cold winds. You can't help but count the days until spring when you open your windows and start fresh with new blooms.

Who says you have to wait for spring to bring some cheerfulness inside?! Let some bold color get you through the last of winter with a few of our favorite mood boosting ideas for interior doors.

Go Bold Or Go Home

If you have a mostly neutral color palette in your home, surprise your guests by choosing a pop of color they might not expect on one of your doors. This will create more interest and allow your doors to become the focal point.

To anchor the door within the look of the room, consider painting the frame as well. There's no rule that says color only belongs on the walls.

Look to Spring for Inspiration

If bold colors are too much for your style, consider a softer tone. Pastels will take the contrast down a notch while still improving the mood. They work well with a variety of design choices from traditional to contemporary. Even boring, single panel doors can look interesting with a subtle touch of color.

Paint A Trendy Pattern

If you enjoy switching things up as trends come and go, create a conversation piece by painting a pattern on your doors. From chevron to color blocking, you're sure to enjoy thinking of fun ways to change things up.

Once you choose your bold style, don't forget to complete the look with the right hardware finish. This will go a long way in tying your doors in with the rest of the hardware and accessories in the room.
